These are exciting times and God is on the move
Over two thousand people are expect to come together at CLAN Gathering this year for the annual New Wine Scotland event; CLAN Gathering. I am part of the team that puts on this event which I believe is a vital for what has to happen in Scotland over the coming years. As we were preparing for last years conference the Lord showed me the prophetic picture below:
“I saw an altar
of praise being set up with lots of burning wood on it,
then as I watched, a hand came and scattered the embers off
of the alter. I saw them falling all over a map of
Scotland, little burning clumps that slowly singed the
paper then suddenly the map was covered in flames. I felt
that the Lord was saying that out of this summer He was
about to start multiple, new, small ministries, that would
bring in His Kingdom across the nation! This is a time for
new beginnings and for fires to join up and coalesce to
impact Scotland!”
Well one year on it seems as if a lot of what the Lord said has come to pass. There is a general feeling of new things springing up and I know of several new ministries being started as well as the continued growth and expansion of Healing Rooms in the nation. Also in many instances churches have begun to grow for the first time in many years! In our fellowship in Troon we have seen average attendance on a Sunday rise from 25 to over 50
Another powerful sign of the
coming Kingdom is an increased expectation of healing signs
wonders & miracles. We saw many healings at last
summers CLAN (see testimony Corner) However God is not just
limited to the “big events” Across Scotland in fellowships
big and small we have been seeing an increase in God
Healing over the last year. In one small church I prayed
for a man after the meeting had finished. He had a serious
tumour condition on his back. He felt nothing I felt
nothing and I am sure we thought God had done nothing – yet
I got a text a few months later saying when he had gone for
a scan NO TUMOURS!
In another church man had such bad knees it was painful to walk and bend them. We prayed for him –no immediate effect yet a few weeks later he was chasing after an escaped dog and realised that his knees had no pain, a situation that continues right to the present! God is good all of the time!! The fact is the more we pray for the sick the more we will see evidence of healing. Don’t give up!
This year I am doing four seminars at CLAN one of them is about “Spiritual Confidence” Now is not he time to let our past experience limit our present expectations of what God can do. We should have every confidence that not only “God can” but that “God does” do all he says He does!

This CofE parish has seen great growth and impacts the community on a daily basis. Its 500 members in five congregations work in literacy projects, as schools support workers and run numerous job creation schemes, along side “Healing on The Streets “and ALPHA! Christ Church has a desire to give away what they have learnt and to share the blessing. Last time I was there the power of God was very evident, people being healed, gold dust etc.
The conference will run 9-11th October 2009 details of how to book can be obtained from the church web site. For me an exciting part of this is that the church will running Equipped to Live one Saturday a month over next year and I will be working to train the local team so that ETL can become a post ALPHA course for the church but also serve as a starting place on their journey for many of the seeker the church attracts.
